For purposes of planning the various subjects offered, teachers refer to the programs from the Italian Ministry of Education (Italian National Curriculum) and the additional documents related to this. Since the 2005/2006 school year the courses have been updated in line with the Moratti Reform.

4) Italian A1 HL/SL
The “Italian A1” course in Year 12 and 13, which is indispensable for access to Italian universities, entails a very thorough preparation.
The range of texts studied in language A1 courses is broad, and students grow to appreciate a language’s complexity, wealth and subtleties in a variety of contexts. A specific aim is to engender a lifelong interest in literature and a love for the elegance and wealth of human expression.
