In Y7 and Y8, students have six forty-minute lessons per week. Three lessons are devoted to Italian language, grammar, reading and exposure to various approaches to textual analyisis. The other three lessons are dedicated to the study of History, Civics and Geography in line with syllabuses provided by the Ministry of Education.
Y9 students have an extra lesson aimed at developing and consolidating specific skills for the Licenza Media exam taken at centres in Italian schools in the vicinity.
For the Scuola Media exams, the course also includes the study of Mathematics, Science and Technology. For this purpose, the school offers a two-hour extra-curricular lesson per week.
2)Italian L1 course
There are 3 scheduled curriculum lessons in Y7, 8 and 9 . Each lesson is 40 minutes long.
There will be no complementary extra-curricular lessons.
3) Italian Pre IB course
There are 4 scheduled curriculum lessons in Y10 and in Y11 . Each lesson is 40 minutes long.
4) Italian A1 HL/SL
There are 6 scheduled curriculum lessons for Higher Level and 4 for Standard Level in Y12 and in Y13 . Each lesson is 40 minutes long.
